Scanning devices inside DMZ requires downloading and installing the Console on the machine that is also inside the DMZ. Since the Console does not have AD connectivity, the scan must be initiated from the command line, and devices will be targeted from a rescan file.
To begin, open the Console and configure the scan type:
Next, enter a domain name to which we will map credentials:
Next, configure the Console by entering and mapping credentials:
Finally, map the entered credentials to the same domain:
Close the Console and create a rescan file with the DMZ based devices to be scanned. When creating the custom rescan file, enter the domain name from above into the domain column. For example, if in the 'dmz' domain name is entered, the rescan file would be created as:
Next, open a command prompt and run this command:
movere.service.exe -magicword:YourMagicWord -devices -rescan:dmz -upload -startlistener
Movere will target each of the devices against the domain column of the rescan file, and will use the credentials you assigned to the 'dmz' domain. Remember, the Domain column in the rescan file has nothing to do with targeting, it simply tells Movere which devices to target using the name in the devicename column, as well which credentials to use.
If an ARC scan was configured prior to uploading the custom rescan file, enter this command commence the ARC scan:
movere.service.exe -magicword:YourMagicWord -devices -rescan:dmz -arc -upload -startlistener
