This month's release launches a new and improved geo-tagging API, increasing Movere's ability to geo-tag with greater accuracy and completeness. We're also rolling out Alerting to all users! The Alerting feature provides real-time updates on the status of payload uploading and processing. Last but not least this month, we have a new console! In addition to several small bug fixes, console v11.9 includes several new features that heighten Movere's application dependency mapping capabilities. Read below for more information on these amazing updates!
MUI Updates
With this release, we are updating the Stats tab with new “snapshot” data for ARC scanning. We are removing the CPU, RAM, and Disk columns and replacing them with the number and percentages of currently ARC’ing servers, SQL instances, and databases. This data will mirror what is found on the ARC\Landscape\Executive Summary view, with the number of ARC’ing servers, SQL instances, and SQL databases reflecting the previous day’s ARC data:
Movere’s own Geo-Caching API
We are incredibly excited to update our geo-tagging abilities with the launch of our very own API! As we strive to provide the most accurate data for our customers, we have developed our own geo-tagging API to enhance our ability to provide geographical information of a customer’s environment. We threw some Machine Learning on top of the API, and will now be able to geo-tag devices with greater accuracy, including devices that do not have internet connectivity! Customers must use the new console, (detailed below), in order to make use of the improved geo-tagging feature, and this update will only impact new data, (existing customer data will not be updated).
Movere Console v11.9.2.7
The latest version of the console builds the foundation for our highly anticipated enhanced application dependency map feature coming in July, as well as container planning and migration features coming later this year. This includes support for scanning IIS and .NET applications, as well as identifying what Windows features are installed and running. As this console will set the stage for features coming in future releases, we highly recommend customers begin using this console as soon as possible. The functionality of future consoles, (coming later this year), will build on console v11.9.2.7.
In addition to the above, console v11.9 adds support for Windows Server 2019 and includes several small bug fixes.
Movere Alerting
After a very successful trial phase, we are excited to roll out our email alerting service to all users! Alerting allows any user to schedule and receive email notifications from Movere across several data uploading and processing alerts, for both inventory and ARC data. This provides Movere users greater insight into the real-time status of data.
The Alerting feature is customizable and is not turned on by default. To enable Alerting for your data, please follow the instructions here. Check out the video below for a quick overview of Movere Alerting:
